Boy howdy, that Al-Obambi ecomony just keeps humming right along, doesn’t it?
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — The Federal Reserve’s latest forecasts for the U.S. economy are gloomier than the ones released three months earlier, with an expectation for higher unemployment and a steeper drop in economic activity.
The Fed’s forecasts, released as part of the minutes from its April meeting, show that its staff now expects the unemployment rate to rise to between 9.2% and 9.6% this year. The central bank had forecast in January that the jobless rate would be in a range of 8.5% to 8.8%, but the unemployment rate topped that in April, hitting 8.9%.
The Fed also now expects the gross domestic product, the broadest measure of the nation’s economic activity, to post a drop of between 1.3% and 2% this year. It had previously expected only a 0.5% to 1.3% decline.
All yours now, Ayatollah.  You.  Effin’.  OWN.  It.
Good luck.

Of course, this is all Bush’s fault, right?
When I read articles such as the one you reference, I wonder just what effect Obama policy has on such projections. The I realize that Obama can do no wrong, that he is the messiah, and that I should blame everything on those nasty conservatives who want nothing more than to steal from the poor to enrich themselves.
Darth, what do you think the chances are, that conservatives will take control of the congress in 2010?
Well, I’d like  to think that they’re pretty good, assuming that they don’t go and do something absolutely stupid.
Then I catch myself and think, “Who am I kidding?  This is the effin’ GOP.  Of course  they’ll do something stupid.
No, I think it’s going to take a SHTF™ moment, the Reset Button™ is going to have to be mashed, and plasma-based liquids will have to be spilled in the avenues.  This culture is that far gone, IYAM.
I think that it is time that true conservatives, those who believe in true limited government, to find another party to carry our banner. The GOP is hopeless.
The chances are actually pretty LOW that conservatives will be able to take control of Congress in 2010, simply because there aren’t enough of them to make a difference.
The Republican Party, on the other hand, should do pretty darn well in 2010.
The Republican Party really ought to consider changing their name to the Not-The-Democrats Party, since that’s about all they have to offer.
