Welcome to the Realm™ - Version 5.0...
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I know all of you are patently aware of what today is. You also know it was Mitsuo Fuchida who took off from the aircraft carrier Akagi that lead the Japanese forces on that surprise attack.

But did you know this?

Neither did I, until this morning.

To all those who gave their lives on December 7, 1941, and to those that survived the day yet have since gone on to see the Lord….we thank you for your service. For the families that still remember each year on this day what happened, please remember that God’s grace surpasses all understanding and take comfort in that fact.

Dismissed&#153

  1. David Hartung says:

Our Lord does indeed work in wondrous ways!

FDR stated that 7 December 1941 was a day that would live in infamy. Unfortunately, many people today have no idea what happened that day. It really is sad.

  2. HDD says:

It would be ‘sad’ if our nation’s collective ignorance was due to some unforeseen or unavoidable happening. It’s not. Our nation’s collective ignorance is the result of a purposeful, willful, intentional plan. Just remember, when our current public school system was designed, the word “educate” was never used when describing the goal of the system.

Our public school system is NOT failing. It is functioning exactly as designed.

  3. Unfortunately HDD, I do have to agree with you. What’s worse, so does the Generalette and she’s a TEACHER!

Much in the same way that Al-Obambi is willfully and intentionally using the game plan of Cloward and Piven to “transform our nation”, the intention of the public school system is to “just push them students through” as though they were some sort of cheap, disposable assembly line product. It’s more about making sure the numbers and test scores are “right” so there’s a budget that can be skimmed.

Because we all know that the district superintendent is THE most important person in a school district and thereby should be given all the flowery praise and worship.

    {I’m going to be sick now}

  4. HDD says:

    Gen Rayegun,

It’s even more insidious than that. The education system isn’t about just getting the right scores, nor is it about educating our youth (nor has it ever been, as currently constituted). The point of our modern education system, as set out and designed by Dewey, is to create suitable subjects and workers. The private school system is for creating educated people. BUT, the problem with private schools is that they draw from the same pool of idiots as the public schools (yes, I know Generalette is a teacher, but, teachers aren’t drawn from the best and brightest; they’re drawn from people who are too smart for School of Journalism, but, not smart enough for any real School. In every university, School of Education takes from the BOTTOM 25% of students, and school administrators are drawn from the bottom 40% of that pool.), so, the level of education *is* better, but, only by a matter of degrees.

If our school system were imposed upon us by a foreign power, it would be considered an act of war. Dr Bennett had it right.

It helps, though, if you have Microsoft Internet Explorer  set about 1024x768 1280x1024 with your Favorites window activated on the left deactivated.  (At least until I can get a better handle on how WordPress works.)

Mozilla Firefox doesn't do too badly, either; in fact, it's His Rudeness' browser of choice.
You can  use Nutscrape,  if you so desire - but why in blazes would you want to use a browser from a company that had to hide behind Janet El Reño's skirt to be successful?

And don't even  get me started on Opera or Chrome.  I'm not about  to trust any browser that won't let me change its color scheme.
