Today was my first Sunday at a new church, and it really was an amazing Sunday. No one fell asleep during the sermon, and I did not spill the wine during communion.
In truth, the folks at St Luke Lutheran Church are a wonderful bunch, and I look forward to serving my Lord there for many years to come.

if you so desire - but why in blazes would you want to use a browser from a company that had to hide behind Janet El Reño's skirt to be successful?
And don't even get me started on Opera or Chrome. I'm not about to trust any browser that won't let me change its color scheme.

I’ve heard one experienced pastor say that getting a bad congregation out of the way early in your career is the best way to do it.

The “discussions” have already begun, but not internally. I am blessed to be serving a congregation in which I am the uneducated boob. Yesterday we had about 33 in attendance, and among those 33 were at least 4 PHds, and they are recognized performers in their fields. That type of individual has far more productive things to do than to engage in “backbiting”.
Interestingly enough, among our members is a Nobel Laureate, and he received his back when one had to actually earn it.
The current controversy is coming from some other congregations who believe that we are a bunch of dangerous heretics. It will sort itself out, but unfortunately it won’t happen before some innocent folks get hurt.
