You people who’re trying to hide Mikey Shitstain behind the Constitution make me sick.&#160 Bleat about the so-called “Rule Of Law&#153” all you want.

The fact is that if the United States Constitution cannot save the life of one innocent woman, who’s being murdered by a gonorrheic excuse-for-a-husband who’s likely going to get off scot-free, then as far as I’m concerned the Constitution would be of more use wiping my ass.

What fucking good is a Constitution that is incapable of protecting the most helpless among us?

And mark my words – if they can do this to Terri Schiavo, they can do this to me or you.&#160 And we don’t even have to be close to death for this to happen – Terri Schiavo wasn’t close to death (no thanks to Mikey Shitstain), and they decided she&#160 was a waste of oxygen.

The Declaration of Independence – our founding document, for those of you who haven’t kept up – says that among our inalienable rights is “life,&#160 liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.&#160 And those words are every fucking bit as valid as the words “separation of church and state” which a lot of you bastards like to poutingly point to every damned time you see any reference to Jesus Christ that doesn’t have an “H” in the middle of it.

Well, Acidman, old boy, to use your own words – if Terri’s level of sentience doesn’t meet with your standards…then LOWER YOUR STANDARDS.&#160 Who the hell do you think you are, anyway?

    Written law must usually pass the test of the Constitution, the foundation of our government and these applicable laws seem to have passed. The Declaration of Independence is a nice document to feel good an patriotic about but that’s all it is.

    When a spectacular example of what is deemed by some as a tragic example of the results of this law creates this notoriety everyone completely forgets the very important and valuable rights these laws protect. Then they want to carve out some of those protections.

    You can call Mr. Shiavo anything you want, it’s your blog. I’m guessing if someone called you something as vile to your face you wouldn’t have the guts to strike back.

    You should take the time to read the report of the court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem for Terri Schiavo. Michael may not be an exemplary human being (let he who is without sin, etc.) but from all indications, he did everything he could vis à vis rehabilitation, medical care, etc., until it became hopeless.

    It’s sad that this case has become a pissing contest between Terri’s husband and her parents – a big “he said, she said” fight – and the religious folks among us, some with the best of intentions, are using it for their own political ends.

    We have a rule of law in this country, and those laws have been followed. Under the law, Michael is regarded as the person best empowered to know what Terri’s wishes are. Her parents, sadly, lost their daughter years ago and have been chasing false hope – for that I can’t blame them, but enough is enough.

    And (for once) I’m in agreement with Acidman. This is not the business of the government. It is family business, and like it or not, Michael is family. If you want to redefine marriage, or if you want laws to be written on an ad hominem basis, you’re really asking to live in a very different country.
