Just had an exchange on Facebook  with a lady from Texas who believes that Wendy Davis is going to be the next governor. As both of you are based in Texas, what are your assessments?

  1. That right now, I’d love some of what she’s on. 🙂

  2. Let me clarify that a bit.

Wendy Davis has about as much chance of becoming governor of this state as a snowball has of surviving in the Southern Command in August.

She’s counting mightily on the womyn’s women’s vote to slide her way past Greg Abbott.&#160 Problem is, roughly 55% of Texas women are conservative.&#160 If not more.

Her best chance of getting in is for Greg Abbott to pull another Clayton Williams and stick his feet in his mouth.

Absent that, Abbott will win the Texas 2014 gubernatorial.

I suspected something like that. This particular lady hasn’t struck me as being the sharpest stick in the quiver.

  4. Yup, agree with Venomous on this one. She might win some cities like Austin and San Antonio, but Abbott will steamroll the rest of the state. Not to mention, Abbott has already made it abundantly clear he does not and will not subscribe to the Washington politics. Much in the same way Sen. Cruz has emphatically stated, “I didn’t come to Washington to make friends”. Oh wait, Cruz is from Texas too. Imagine that!!!

It helps, though, if you have Microsoft Internet Explorer  set about 1024x768 1280x1024 with your Favorites window activated on the left deactivated.  (At least until I can get a better handle on how WordPress works.)

(KORRIOTH:  Oh, great.  More wormholes.)

Mozilla Firefox doesn't do too badly, either; in fact, it's His Rudeness' browser of choice.
You can  use Nutscrape,  if you so desire - but why in blazes would you want to use a browser from a company that had to hide behind Janet El Reño's skirt to be successful?

And don't even  get me started on Opera or Chrome.  I'm not about  to trust any browser that won't let me change its color scheme.
