Hm.&#160 Maybe I should turn this into a football blog.

(Oh, BTW – you didn’t hear from me last night because I had company at Chez Spatula.&#160 And she&#160 takes priority over any of you. )

Anyway, I’ve been shamed into doing a bonus PFW by our good friend, LC & Denizen Robert Huntingdon.&#160 So once more into the breach, dear friends, as Korrioth’s dear godson Chang told Kirk once…

LSIK&T:&#160 Waitaminnit.&#160 That damnfool Chang was your godson???

KORRIOTH:&#160 Eh.&#160 Father liked him and made me promise.

LSIK&T:&#160 Couldn’t Kang have picked someone a little less smarmy, like maybe Klaa?

KORRIOTH:&#160 He was Korax’s nephew.&#160 It would’ve began a blood feud.

LSIK&T:&#160 (rolls eyes) Another&#160 one?

KORRIOTH:&#160 That’s why Father mated with T’Pring.&#160 He was tired of all the feuding.&#160 Besides, Father says she was better in bed than Mara.

LSIK&T:&#160 Point.&#160 I s’pose that as long as you’re not related to Lursa or B’Etor… (snicker)

KORRIOTH:&#160 (grunt)

Okay, where was I…?

Oh.&#160 Saturday at 2:00, Texarkana Liberty-Eylau takes on Canyon in the quarterfinal round of the state UIL playoffs.&#160 TLE took out a pretty good Royse City team, so I like their chances here.

Sunday, we have Cowboys versus Cowboys Southeast.&#160 Sean Payton’s New Orleans Saints come to town to take on Payton’s last team – y’know, that one coached by the Noo Joisey Con Man…?

Dallas and NO are pretty much mirror images of each other.&#160 Both rely on an offense led by a dynamic quarterback, a solid running game and a stellar defense (NO’s, in fact, is based on more than a few former Cowboys.)&#160 Both have identical 8-4 records, but Dallas’ was crafted against better competition, if for no other reason than that the NFC East is tougher than the NFC South.

Yet, N’awlins has owned the ‘Boys the last few years in the regular season, so we’ll see.

We’re back Monday for the recap, assuming Korrioth hasn’t shoved a painstick up my ass for that Lursa/B’Etor remark…

One response to “PFW:&#160 Okay, okay, y’talked me into it…”

  1. Heh, no kidding I think you are right on the money calling this Cowboys vs Cowboys SE. Not honestly sure the better team won, much as I hate to say it, but until things started falling apart (and terwi started dropping balls again) I expected the ‘boys to start their comeback “any second now”.

Although I have to admit my respect for Parcels went up quite a bit when he was so gracious in defeat. He’s right, defeats like that can happen to anybody, just look at the Saints and the Bengals this year, at least six games between the two of them they should *not* have lost (Carolina, Baltimore x2 (one for each), Pitsfart, Tampa Bay, and Atlanta), but they did anyway. Not all of those losses were entirely bad officiating either, though some of them I think had the outcome at least influenced by that. But when that happens castigating players in public is the last thing you should ever do. Especially on the spot when emotions are undoubtably at their highest. No matter how much TO (or others) would have deserved it, you just shouldn’t do it, and kudos to him for refraining.

Mozilla Firefox doesn't do too badly, either; in fact, it's His Rudeness' browser of choice.
You can  use Nutscrape,  if you so desire - but why in blazes would you want to use a browser from a company that had to hide behind Janet El Reño's skirt to be successful?

And don't even  get me started on Opera or Chrome.  I'm not about  to trust any browser that won't let me change its color scheme.
