Okay, now it’s the cat bloggers’ turn to get pissed off at me.

Mheh.

This is courtesy of one of my co-workers.&#160 Sorta reminds me of one of the Apple penguin games… (grin)

Damn, Spats, I’ve wasted half the morning!

BTW, best distance (so far) 2036 feet, max altitude of 251 feet (firing angle of 41.5 degrees). Cat hit (in order) trampoline, explosives, balloon bomb, explosives, ground, ground, trampoline, balloon bomb, explosives, ground, ground, spikes.

    *sigh*

And people get mad at me for wanting to make a game like that about children..

  3. Best score – 1657 (19.0- degrees). I seem to do better with the lower arcs. Got a handful of 1400 scores.

Does connection speed affect gameplay at all? I rarely get a bounce as high as 150ft – 251 ft requires divine intervention. And none of my attempts at 40-ish degrees get anywhere near a distance of 1000 ft.

Alan, I plays A LOT. During about 4 hours each morning, I have a lot of con calls where my contribution is “uh huh, yeah, ok”. The 251 feet altitude was after trampoline (about 50 feet), explosives (about 105), baloon bomb (170 or so), and explosives (251 – I was open mouthed). Sheer luck hitting 4 boosts in a row, and it hasn’t happened since. Raw Gun Barrel altitude at 41.5 was about 30 feet.

I tried 41.5 degrees because of something that i remembered from way back when I was as slick sleeve newbie private, and had the opportunity to attend an artillery range. An old Major during the lecture told us that, because of air friction, 45 degrees never gave the longest range. For most artillery pieces, 41.5 degrees would approximate max. In fairness, that was the best I ever did at that elevation. Playing the game, my best (still) is 2967 (above), at 30 degrees – a high initial lateral velocity seems to work well, although I did break 1500 feet at 60 degrees.

  5. One advantage of the lower degree settings is that every great once in a while Kitty will hit a balloon bomb real close to the cannon. You get the higher forward momentum from the lower degree setting, and the altitude boost from the bomb. And if you’re lucky enough to hit another bomb or trampoline after that…

  6. Just scored 3305, degree setting 19. Meow.

It helps, though, if you have Microsoft Internet Explorer  set about 1024x768 1280x1024 with your Favorites window activated on the left deactivated.  (At least until I can get a better handle on how WordPress works.)

(KORRIOTH:  Oh, great.  More wormholes.)

Mozilla Firefox doesn't do too badly, either; in fact, it's His Rudeness' browser of choice.
You can  use Nutscrape,  if you so desire - but why in blazes would you want to use a browser from a company that had to hide behind Janet El Reño's skirt to be successful?

And don't even  get me started on Opera or Chrome.  I'm not about  to trust any browser that won't let me change its color scheme.
