Ok, some backgrounder info on why this clip COULD have originated. This is direct knowledge due to the fact that the General and Generalette are Disney Vacation Club members and we get distro list messages about such events and other minutia.
Sooooo, back on May 20, 2011 Disney reopened after a two-year major $$$ remodeling the Star Tours ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park (the same ride just opened on 6/3 at DisneyLAND). Since that time, WDW (Walt Disney World for those of you in Rio Linda or the Church of the Subtarted as Darth would say) has hosted “Star Wars Weekends” during the month of June. This so-called “event” (and I say that very weakly since this clip looks REALLLLLY cheesy and not up to what I consider Disney standards “reimagineering” or not!) appears to be one of the first of said weekend shindigs.
And even though the General and Generalette will be conducting an inspection tour at and with the staff of the Southeastern HQ next month, and we are intending to visit the Hollywood Studios park, we will not be stopping for this “event” if it is still going on.
