Her pain is finally over.

Tammy Faye Bakker Messner has passed at age 65.  Her ex-husband, Jim Bakker, personified everything that was is wrong with the genre we know today as teleevangelism, when he single-handedly (single dick-ed-ly?) destroyed an entire industry with one single extramarital affair.

For five years thereafter, she portrayed the penultimate stand-by-her-man woman – the type that Queen Hilarious pooh-poohed in 1992 before becoming that type of woman herself.  (Bill brings in that campaign cash, y’know.)

Spatula City BBS! extends its condolences to Tammy Faye’s family.  You guys have our prayers.

Leftists reveal more of their famed tolerance, compassion and understanding via Tammy Faye

    Hm.

    That’s funny.

During Jim’s stay in prison, he cracked the cover of a book that changed his life and his entire outlook on life.

During, and after, Jim’s stay in prison, Tammy continued on with the sleazy televangelism she and Jim were known for.

Jim read the Bible in prison, and realized where he went wrong. Tammy kept going on the same path.

The reason Jim has faded from the public eye is that he got back to real evangelism, preaching the Word from the Bible.

The reason Tammy stayed in the public eye is that she was an attention whore who couldn’t do without the perks of being famous.

You ought to take a little better aim with your barbs. You keep hitting you (supposed) allies.

    Okay.

    Did I say she didn’t?

I wouldn’t necessarily call The Surreal Life  “the public eye”.  I mean, who in their right mind watches that crap?

You ought to take a little better aim with your barbs. You keep hitting you (supposed) allies.

What did I say about either Jim or Tammy that wasn’t true?  Why do you insist on putting words in my mouth?

I mean, do you want me to scream at the top of my lungs that she was a friggin’ harlot or something?  Would that make you happy?

    Sheesh. :-,

It helps, though, if you have Microsoft Internet Explorer  set about 1024x768 1280x1024 with your Favorites window activated on the left deactivated.  (At least until I can get a better handle on how WordPress works.)

(KORRIOTH:  Oh, great.  More wormholes.)

Mozilla Firefox doesn't do too badly, either; in fact, it's His Rudeness' browser of choice.
You can  use Nutscrape,  if you so desire - but why in blazes would you want to use a browser from a company that had to hide behind Janet El Reño's skirt to be successful?

And don't even  get me started on Opera or Chrome.  I'm not about  to trust any browser that won't let me change its color scheme.
