Just got through doing a little housecleaning around here – minor tweaks to the blog template (very  minor), and a bit of culling of the blogroll – removal of the dead links, and a bit of “repositioning” for others.
Surprisingly, Rayegun’s link still seems to work.  Wonders never cease, I guess…

And at some point, I’m going to look at upgrading the Movable Type package to the newest version, which looks right now to be 4.01.  (I’m not sure if 3.15 can be upgraded to 4 at this point, will have to investigate – time permitting, of course.)
The upshot to all this is that there’s a very good chance that I – not being as conversant with this particular software as I’d like – could wind up causing a warp-core breach, nuking the blog completely and having to start from scratch.  (shrug) Life’s full of little surprises, I suppose – “friends” turning their back on you, blogs disappearing into the ethersphere, that sort of thing.

The link has always worked (when you type it correctly….SPATS). Now as for content….that’s been sparse to say the least of lates. That will change this year.
As for the upgrade to 4.01….yes, you can go from 3.15 to 4.01 using the normal upgrade routine…..but be dang sure you have a separate backup copy of the SQL file as well as copies of ALL of your templates. It’s a JIC, but MT is still wonky at times on upgrade.
Also, there’s been a significant amount of change to the MT tag structure and syntax as well. Take a look at the MT4 default templates and adjust yours accordingly in the test environment before doing the live upgrade. It will save you some grief in the long run. Since you don’t use a complete “theme-based” skinning like I do, your upgrade should be easier than the disaster I went through.

Well, I’d said that ’cause I couldn’t remember if I’d ever changed it to the correct URL or not.  I’d actually thought the old one was still in my template, which would have meant the link didn’t  work.
Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when your site popped up instead of giving me a damned 404.
