Welcome to the Realm™ - Version 5.0...

(Hat tip to the beautiful & talented Michelle.)

There’s hope for the GOP yet.

Former Maryland lieutenant governor Michael Steele has been elected to the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee.

Steele is an unabashed, unapologetic conservative, the first since Haley Barbour in this humble scribe’s opinion.  He will provide dynamic leadership as we strive to rebuild the party from the disasterous era of “compassionate conservatism” and Demoscum-lite-ness.

Congratulations, Mr. Steele.  The Realm™ has your back, sir.

My biggest concern with Mr Steele is that he was considered the MODERATE candidate for the position, which means he may not be as ‘conservative’ as we’ve been led to believe.

Of course, I’m not a Republican, nor will I ever be, so, I don’t really have a dog in this fight. Whomever y’all want to elect as your head is up to you.

    Don’t get all excited.

Check the Huffington post, there is an article there approving of Steele’s pick.

I am extremely suspicious of any , supposedly conservative, politician who has the approval of the left.

I would give the link, but the url is long, and I lack the computer skills to do a hyperlink in this reply. Have a great day!

And stay away from the Romulan Ale! :)

It helps, though, if you have Microsoft Internet Explorer  set about 1024x768 1280x1024 with your Favorites window activated on the left deactivated.  (At least until I can get a better handle on how WordPress works.)

(KORRIOTH:  Oh, great.  More wormholes.)

Mozilla Firefox doesn't do too badly, either; in fact, it's His Rudeness' browser of choice.
You can  use Nutscrape,  if you so desire - but why in blazes would you want to use a browser from a company that had to hide behind Janet El Reño's skirt to be successful?

And don't even  get me started on Opera or Chrome.  I'm not about  to trust any browser that won't let me change its color scheme.
