The light has come on for Newt Gingrich.
Former House speaker Newt Gingrich on Saturday conceded that he was wrong to endorse Republican candidate Dede Scozzafava in last November’s special congressional election in New York’s 23rd District.
“They were right. At the time, as a party builder and someone who has always been trying to help build the party, it struck me that she was the local nominee. She turned out to be a huge disappointment. And she turned out not to be frankly a loyal Republican.”
“And I think that those folks have the better of that argument.
Sounds suspiciously like a Republican trying to position himself for a 2012 run, hm?

And don't even get me started on Opera or Chrome. I'm not about to trust any browser that won't let me change its color scheme.

IIRC, she was picked by a committee of all the district’s precinct chairs. She was their nominee, Newt, not that of the people those precinct chairs represented. That’s why primaries were invented, to avoid this elitist smoke-filled-room crap.
If Newt tries running for Prez, he’s in for a lot of hostility. Keep the hostility civil, fellow red-staters.
Newt did a good job in shifting power away from the Democrats, unfortunately, he proved to be a horrible leader. That is why he does not need to run for president.
