SG RAYEGUN: Also, make sure the surveillance team watches out for the Excelsior II Vengeance. That damn ship seems to drop out of hyperspace at all the inconvenient times, especially when the Klingon is driving!

Actually the BFG-9000 was an homage reference to the old PC game “Doom” in case your memory, which seems to have seriously addled from all that Romulan Ale, has forgotten.
What I remember from Doom  is that I once spent four straight hours playing it.  Without blinking.
And no – I’m not embellishing that.  It took eight Tylenol© and lots of caffeine-laden Coke© to get rid of the resulting headache.
