It’s Championship Week at the offices of the Perfect Football Weekend™, and two of the three teams playing this week are, in fact, playing for conference championships.
Today, Turner Gill’s UBuffalo Bulls travel to Detroit to take on the 12th-ranked Ball State Cardinals for the Mid-American Conference championship.  I’m tempted to put the SpatulaLine™ back in, given that Ball State is  undefeated & ranked, but I promised that once I lifted it, it was gone, so…
But I still don’t think Turner’s boys have much of a chance.
Saturday Night, Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City will be the site where Sam Bradford and the fourth-ranked Oklahoma Sooners take on Chase Daniel and the 19th-ranked Missouri Tigers for the Big XII title.
Mizzou hasn’t beaten the Sooners in forever (or so it seems), but if Instant Karma™ is the bitch she advertises, a lot of Texas & TTech fans will be happy campers Sunday morning.  I’m claiming Murphy’s Law on this and predicting a Tiger win.
Sunday, The Biggest Super Bowl XXX Rematch Ever In The History Of Ever, Ev-Effing-Er™ takes place in Pittsburgh as TRomo and the C’boys pay the Steelers a visit.  DeMarcus Ware looks to be okay, but Marion Barber III’s toe is still a little a helluva lot iffy – and  Steel has the number one defense in the NFL, so I have my doubts about this one.
In fact, this could be the first time in a long time I go oh-fer on a PFW.  Which means I’ll go back to work Monday in a foul mood.  Which’ll be most appropos.
Back Monday for the recap.  In the meantime, Bucky plays no one this weekend.  Bucky’s favored by two.
